This Privacy Policy describes how Insider Empire ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our insider-transaction analytics platform at insiderempire.com.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address. We also store a securely hashed version of your password.
Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI DSS standards. We receive and store only a customer identifier and subscription status from Stripe.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, search queries within the platform, and timestamps of activity. This helps us improve the platform and identify technical issues.
Device and Browser Information: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device characteristics when you access the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Insider Empire analytics platform
- To process your subscription and manage your account
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing notifications)
- To send service-related alerts (cluster alerts, watchlist notifications) if you have opted in
- To monitor and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
- To analyze usage patterns and improve our analytics features and user experience

3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers hosted in North America. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit
- Bcrypt-hashed passwords with appropriate cost factors
- CSRF protection on all forms
- Rate limiting on authentication endpoints
- Content Security Policy headers
- Regular security audits and monitoring
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services in the operation of Insider Empire:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Market Data Providers — We use licensed third-party financial data APIs and SEC EDGAR to power our analytics.
These services receive only the data necessary to perform their functions. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and Session Data
Session Cookies: We use PHP session cookies to maintain your authenticated state. These are essential for the Service to function and are deleted when you close your browser or sign out (unless you select "Remember me").
Remember-Me Cookies: If you opt in to the "Remember me" feature at login, we store a secure, long-lived cookie to keep you signed in across browser sessions.
Local Storage: We use browser localStorage to save UI preferences such as sidebar state, selected tabs, and display settings. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data — You can view your account information at any time from the Account page.
- Correct inaccurate data — You can update your name and email from the Account page, or contact us for assistance.
- Delete your account and associated data — A self-service account deletion feature is coming soon. In the meantime, please contact us at support@insiderempire.com to request account deletion.
- Export your data — Contact us to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account data is retained for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate. After that period, personal data may be anonymized or deleted.
Usage logs and analytics data are retained for up to 12 months for service improvement purposes, after which they are aggregated and anonymized.
Audit logs (login attempts, security events) are retained for up to 24 months for security and compliance purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
Insider Empire is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
